100+ Novels at the CPAR Uganda Prof. Fred Opio Ekong Memorial Library

Beyond informing you about the presence of 100+ novels at our library that is located within our Lira Learning Centre on Plot 5 Makerere Road in Lira Municipality in Lira District in Northern Uganda, we want to persuade you of the benefits of reading novels – reading physical books cover to cover that is. So, here goes.

We did a quick online research and found several testimonies of avid readers explaining the multiple benefits that they get from reading novels. One of our favourite testimonies and which to a significant degree resonates with the premise of why we established our library is of Ashisha Taneja who shared as follows:

“FINISH THE WORK FASTER: Whatever you do and wherever you work, mostly it involves reading something and acting upon the same. So if you are able to comprehend the written text faster, you are able to finish the office work faster. Thus if you are in a habit of reading a set number of pages everyday it wouldn’t be very difficult to read official documents or lengthy mails!”

For this and many more benefits, we invite you to become a member of our Prof. Fred Opio Ekong Memorial Library and have access to 100+ novels and thousands of other publications at an annual membership fee of UGX 200,000 (two hundred thousand shillings only) or a monthly membership fee of UGX 30,000 (thirty thousand shillings only) or a daily access free of UGX 2,000 (two thousand shillings only).
