We now have approval from the Uganda National Council for Science and Technology (UNCST) for our project:

“CHALLENGING CATETORIES: EDUCATED UNEMPLOYED YOUTH AS INSITUTIONAL INNOVATORS IN RURAL UGANDA.”

From next month, April 2021 and for 21 months, we will implement this empirical research and advocacy project under the leadership of Dr. Ben Jones of the University of East Anglia as the Principal Investigator and Dr. Laury Ocen of Lira University as the Co-Investigator.

Eight young adult innovators that are benefiting from our project: “Mentoring Young Adults into Innovators Against Poverty” will work alongside Dr. Jones and Dr. Ocen; they will be trained and mentored by them; and will also conduct research.

Our Managing Director, Ms. Norah Owaraga, will take a lead role in administrating and managing the project; ensuring that the investigators have the necessary enabling environment to deliver.

The field work for this project that is funded by The British Academy will be conducted among Lango and Iteso communities.

Very exciting indeed!
