How so profound his wisdom, especially in today’s Uganda when ethnic divisions are seemingly overtly intensifying. Indeed, the most important resources Uganda is gifted with are its thinkers who take the time to write. Dr. Laury Ocen is among them. Two of his books already published are: “THE ALIEN WOMAN” and “RUINS OF A STAR”

And we, at CPAR Uganda, are privileged that he is the Co-Investigator of the academic research project: “Challenging Categories: Educated Unemployed Youth as Institutional Innovators in Rural Uganda”, which we are hosting; and is being implemented by the School of International Development of the University of East Anglia and in Partnership with Lira University; with funding from The British Academy. Dr. Ocen is a Lecturer at Lira University.
