Welding workshop for training youth

Client
Youth of Lira City
Project Duration
Three Years
We are targeting to raise 10 million shillings to enable us to equip Jimmy Ezra Okello with the necessary materials, equipment and machines to establish a welding workshop through which he will mentor and train youth to become welders.
Okello is a university graduate from a disadvantaged background and a rare kind of degree holder who isn’t afraid to get his hands dirty. He took the initiative to apprentice with an established welder and has acquired the relevant artisanal life skills that qualify him to be the best Team Leader for this project.
Uganda has the 2nd youngest population in the world. This livelihoods project will enable youth from disadvantaged backgrounds to earn a viable living and be able to improve the quality of life of members of their households. Please:
- Donate via Mobile Money to +256 789 962 225 registered to Okello Jimmy Ezra.
- Donate via GlobalGiving goto.gg/55826.
Okello is a beneficiary of our CPAR Uganda mentoring programme and he used his learning to originate this positive impact project.
