I finally get a call! The sweet voiced lady on the other side, claiming to be calling from Price Water House Coopers, asks whether I’m still interested in their job. My heart is pounding as I cannot believe what I am hearing. She asks the class of a degree that I have, whether I have anything I’m currently doing.
After telling her of how I am single, born-again and searching, she bursts out into laughter, telling me she is Rachael, an old pal and former course mate now working with one of the telecom giants. She tells me that she wanted to say “hi” in a funny way. I cut her off after explaining to her how I will break her neck the next time I meet her.

Whereas, Mr. Sabiti is now a very successful consultant, we decided to share and to publish episodes from his column on our website because they are directly relevant to the stakeholders of our project: “Challenging Categories: Educated Unemployed Youth as Institutional Innovators in Rural Uganda;” And they speaks directly to the young adults whom we are mentoring under our project: “Mentoring Young Adults into Innovators Against Poverty.” Mr. Sabiti’s life story, as a whole, is the more relevant to us, since there seems to be nothing he has not done, innovating to better his lot and to contribute to the bettering of life for his wider communities.
