Mr. Alex Bwangamoi Okello, is the seasoned and morally upright civil servant to emulate, of whom Uganda needs more of.

He is unflinching in his strong good Christian faith and is fully committed to governing within the framework of the true Christian principles of governance – justice, righteousness and compassion.

We are delighted to read in the Daily Monitor this morning that “the President, exercising his constitutional powers” has appointed Mr. Okello the Principal Private Secretary in the Office of the Vice President.

Prior Mr, Okello has served as the Permanent Secretary of the Directorate of Ethics and Integrity in the Office of the President; and as the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Works and Transport.

Mr. Okello is among the founder members of CPAR Uganda and he currently serves as a Board member and our Finance Committee Chair.

He 100 percent voluntarily gives of his time and expertise, as well as donating financial resources for the running of CPAR Uganda and the implementation of our activities building healthy communities in Uganda.

We have no doubt that in his new role he will continue his stellar contribution to the greater good.
