What brings me peace is sharing a meal with others with whom am in joint pursuit of happiness.
At work, in my role as Team Leader, I had a lightbulb 💡 moment when I prepared a simple meal and shared it with my team.
There is a way in which sitting together sharing a meal nurtured a spirit of bonding among us.

It had been a while since all three of us had eaten pumpkin. And that was the icebreaker. It was tasty.
Both young men with whom I shared the meal are men of few words, but who over the meal found their voice.
Better still, most of the food items that I used to prepare the meal were home grown and gifted:
Pumpkin by our Center Housekeeper, Amuge.

Green leafy vegetables, egg plants and tomatoes by our former Administrator, Aceng, now retired.

I added bought rice, because I figured the two young men had been working hard all day carrying heavy things as we reorganize our Dr. Paul Hargrave Memorial Center.
We are getting the center ready for our joint Human Development Project with Canadian Physicians for Aid and Relief (CPAR).
