Media Change Agents in Training – Sabiti, Ecweru, Atyang, Aceng, Osekeny, Ocero, Kitmai, Odongo, and Nasasiira are in the second phase of their training to become effective community behavioral change communicators.

After four weeks of intensive residential training later, from 1st December 2025, they have embarked on the second part of her training journey – fieldwork. Applying and practicing lessons learned for the benefit of the community among which she lives.
Composition
CPAR Uganda is pleased to update that sufficient youth applicants submitted their “one-page motivation statement,” the basis on which our media team selected the first cohort for the CPAR Youth Media Training.
Gender Composition of Successful Applicants
- 70.8% of admissions to the first cohort are male.
- 29.2% of admissions to the first cohort are female.
Regional Composition Successful Applicants
- 33.3% of admissions to the first cohort are from Lango (of whom 25% are female and 75% are male).
- 33.3% of admissions to the first cohort are from Karamoja (of whom 37% are female and 63% are male).
- 12.5% of admissions to the first cohort are from Teso (of whom all are male).
- 8.3% of admissions to the first cohort are from West Nile (of whom all are male).
- 8.3% of admissions to the first cohort are from Acholi (of whom all are female).
- 4.3% of admissions to the first cohort are from Bukedi (of whom all are male)
All applicants have been notified of their respective selection results.
For those successful and within CPAR Uganda there is excitement all around as we look forward to making history at our Dr. Paul Hargrave Memorial Center in Lira City.

- 6.5% of applicants were from West Nile Sub-Region
- 6.5% of applicants were from Acholi Sub-Region
- 3.2% of applicants were from Bukedi Sub-Region

- Duration: 3 months training + 9 months follow-up
- When: Starting October 2025
- Eligible: An Exciting Opportunity for 25 motivated youth (ages 18–25) – Priority will be given to youth from and resident in Greater Northern Uganda – West Nile, Madi, Acholi, Lango, Teso, Karamoja and Bukedi sub-regions, CPAR Uganda’s strategic geographic area of operation.
