“I will never forget the day I arrived at CPAR Uganda. I was feeling nervous and excited about this new chapter in my life. The staff welcomed me with open arms, and I was immediately struck by the warm and supportive atmosphere. I was handed a schedule, shown to the room, and introduced to my fellow participants. I felt a sense of relief wash over me as I settled into my new surroundings. The day was of learning and laughter. The food was amazing – three square meals a day, with a variety of Ugandan dishes that left me feeling full and satisfied…,” writes Atyang
She writes of her first day at the CPAR Youth Media Training, which started last month, November 2025, training youth, such as she into Media Change Agent who are skilled behavioural change communicators.
Four weeks of intensive residential training later, from 1st December 2025, she embarks on the second part of her training journey – fieldwork. Applying and practicing lessons learned for the benefit of the community among which she lives.
