Conservation Research Workshop

Stimulate development, dissemination and widespread application of technologies suitable for Uganda is the mission of CPAR Uganda.

From 23rd to 27th March 2026, Uganda will host a workshop on developing a conservation social science research agenda for East Africa.

The workshop funded by the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at the University of Cambridge is co-hosted by Makerere University and the University of Cambridge Conservation Research Institute (CRI).

The call for applications from young African scholars for fully funded places to attend this residential workshop is now open.

Applicants must be early career researchers or practitioners residing and working in East Africa and with interest in or currently conducting conservation social science research.

The deadline to apply is 30th January.
