Knowledge revived & applied

Stimulate development, dissemination and widespread application of technologies suitable for Uganda is the mission of CPAR Uganda.

Nothing makes us feel nostalgic more than when we see disappearing indigenous knowledge systems of our ancestors revived and applied.

A great example, the work of Blessed Organic Release with its Shea and Sesame Value Chains, producing products that it trades under its brand name, Lalida:

Shea Blossom Honey – Mano flora from the nectar of Shea flowers. With health benefits including: aiding healing of wounds, preventing gastric ulcers, soothing sore throats, among others.

Sesame Oil – Cold pressed and unrefined. With health benefits that include: it contains healthy fats which can help to reduce cholesterol levels, among others. As well as improving skin and hair health when used topically.

Shea Hair Oil – Containing Shea oil, coconut oil, Argan oil, castor oil, rosemary oil and herbs. A hair growth serum that reduces hair fall and improves scalp health.

Shea and Turmeric Oil – an anti-aging and anti-dark spots oil that speeds up the process of removing dead skin cells to promote soft skin and protect skin cells from further damage.

Shea Butter – Hand and body care for all ages which helps to protect against eczema, among others.

History reminds us of how our people, of the Nilotic grouping, privileged smooth and healthy skin as a marker of beauty. And yes, they achieved health and healthy skin through consuming and topically applying our own organic products.

We, at CPAR Uganda, plan to do more to support initiatives, such as the work of Blessed Organic Release.

Stimulate development, dissemination and widespread application of technologies suitable for Uganda is the mission of CPAR Uganda.

First, we already entered into partnership with Ms. Margaret Laloyo, founder and the innovator behind Blessed Organic Release to transform our centre located at Y.K. Museveni Road in Pader Town into the CPAR Uganda Social Innovation Centre. Significant progress has been made in 2025 to that effect.

Going forward, in addition, we have big plans, including marketing support. We thus invite you to accept our gift for your good health. Switch to and or continue to consume products under the Lalida brand.

Stimulate development, dissemination and widespread application of technologies suitable for Uganda is the mission of CPAR Uganda.

By doing so, you will:

  • Ensure traditional knowledge systems are preserved and propagated for posterity.
  • Put money directly in the hands of disadvantaged smallholder farming households in Pader District in particular, and greater northern Uganda in general.
  • Contribute to improving livelihoods and the quality of life of disadvantaged farming households in Uganda.
