Changes at CPAR Uganda Secretariat

Stimulate development, dissemination and widespread application of technologies suitable for Uganda is the mission of CPAR Uganda.

Join us in welcoming our new human resources, our Volunteer Innovators in training: Akello Lucy, Pule Godwin and Lawoko Emmanuel.

All three Innovators are CPAR Uganda beneficiaries, trained as Change Agents, under our Dr. Paul Hargrave Memorial Centre Human Development Project, we are jointly implementing with Canadian Physicians for Aid and Relief.

All three Innovators are attached to our CPAR Uganda Dr. Paul Hargrave Memorial Centre. They each took the initiative to approach our Team Leader with suggestions on how the Centre may be enhanced and utilized in a long-term sustainable manner.

Tow of the innovators are excited to apply their learning from the Photography Masterclass, in order to do better marketing of the Centre to its target group, youth from Northern Uganda, who are from disadvantaged backgrounds.

To implement their Photography Master Class Instructor’s guidance to tell visual stories by taking photos of the Centre that are in themselves stories. Each photo with a story behind it and at the same time which tells a story.

All three innovators are exited to test out and apply their learning of simple investment and money-making skills. They plan to establish innovations at the Centre that will generate income, including, but not limited to:

  • Rearing domestic birds for sale (chickens)
  • Fruit tree seedlings (jackfruit, mangoes and lemon) growing and selling.
  • Media content creation (paid for my online platforms and clients).
  • Tailoring
  • Catering
  • Leisure activities, including playing games of strategy for a fee
  • Scenic spaces for hosting events – meetings, study groups and parties
  • Community savings and loan fund.

Their timing is perfect. Our three innovators join us as our former Program Assistant, Sabiti Michael, has transitioned out of CPAR Uganda.

Stimulate development, dissemination and widespread application of technologies suitable and adaptable to Uganda is the mission of CPAR Uganda.

With effect from Tuesday, 26th May 2026, Sabiti is no longer an employee of CPAR Uganda.
