Offending drivers get away scot-free

Stimulate development, dissemination and widespread of application technologies suitable for Uganda is the mission of CPAR Uganda.

I wish for the policy to change so that the penalty is applied in such a way that the offender is penalized 50% and the vehicle 50%.

As in, we would have only had to pay 50% and the rest retained tagged on the ‘offenders’ driving permit. Click on the link and more to read on …

It would be a good deterrent also for Uganda to introduce a point system alongside the penalties. Where traffic offenses are tracked on the drivers driving permit.

Otherwise, in our current system, it seems as though offenders are getting away scot-free.
