Living in a world that is egalitarian is my wish for an alternate universe

Describe your life in an alternate universe.

I dream of a world in which community and humanity take center stage in all that we humans do.

In such a world, I dream, the material wealth gap between the have and have nots would be minimal and not as gapping wide as it is now.

A world in which all humans have access to sufficient food in quantity and quality enabling them to have balanced diets, I dream.

In that alternate world, I dream of, organic food would be accessible to all as it was in the olden days, before the current global order took grip

What is the more sad about our current status quo is that the rich who own and earn a living from our ‘ ‘food system’ eat organic; while they feed the have nots highly genetically modified (GMO) food, modified to maximize profits. I dream this would me no more.

The haves have taken over our seed systems and I dream that in my alternate world, we, the people, all the people, will be in control of our seeds and our community seed sharing systems will be the order of the day.

And when we are back in control of our seed systems, GMOs for the sake of profit will be no more and that science will work for us to modify organism so as to produce that which isn’t harmful to humans and the environment. I dream.

In my alternate world, I dream that aid given to those less advantaged will get to them and in a manner that is efficient and less costly as it is now. There is a lot not to be desired about what the aid business has become.

That ‘philanthropists’ and ‘aid workers’ treat those less advantaged with understanding and with humanity, in manner that the dignity of the less advantaged isn’t further reduce.

In my alternate world aid workers and agencies would live their lives in a way that is not far removed from the people they profess to serve. I dream.

In a nutshell, I dream of an alternate world in which the current accepted world order, capitalism, is no more – blind, selfish individualism and a willingness to sacrifice almost anything for short term profit is no more.

I dream.
