No contest. Our favorite people to be around are those of disadvantaged communities where we work at the grassroots. They teach us a lot about being innovative and resilient against all odds.
It is when we are around them that we get affirmation that our work is valid and no contribution is too little towards the fight against poverty in all its forms – material, inequality and injustice.
For this reason, we absolutely love fieldwork – going to the people to conduct training and or to conduct participatory qualitative empirical research. We live with them and are enriched by them, what is not to love.
As a matter of fact, this weekend we have a field trip and we are looking forward to it!
