Ayugi Gloria, Welcome

“I am a passionate teacher with a central focus on the betterment of the communities where I come. For example, I am a member of a girls group of six in which we support each other. In our group we save for investment and we support each other by doing group digging.”

Ayugi Gloria.

This is among the examples that Ayugi shared of why she is the most deserving young adult to be awarded a scholarship and to be selected to participate in our CPAR Uganda programme: “Mentoring Young Adults into Innovators against Poverty.”

Ayugi is of Lango ancestry from Alebtong District. She is a third-year student at Makerere University Kampala, doing studies for the award of a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Education. We are delighted to have her as part of the first cohort of our mentoring programme and we look forward to working with her and to contributing to enabling her to achieve her long term goals.

In turn, it is our expectation that through her, we at CPAR Uganda will contribute to achieving of our vision and that people in her home area, Olailong Village, Apala Sub-County, Moroto County, Alebtong  District in Northern Uganda, who come in contact with her will proactively work towards them living healthy and dignified lives during which their rights are respected.

Gloria this is amazing. Your idea makes me see Uganda at 2030. Appreciation to Cpar Uganda for bringing us together in a team that makes up the first cohort of young innovators against poverty.
