“Every step was new, but each small success gave me confidence. By the time the day came to an end, I felt that I had achieved something meaningful. I had taken the first step in a much bigger journey, one that I was now excited about. My first day at CPAR Uganda had begun with uncertainty, grown into a moment of courage, and ended with a sense of belonging. I knew there were many more days ahead, each with its own challenges and lessons, but if they were anything like this first one, then I was ready…,” writes Aceng.
She writes of her first day at the CPAR Youth Media Training, which started last month, November 2025, training youth, such as her into Media Change Agents who are skilled behavioral change communicators.
Four weeks of intensive residential training later, from 1st December 2025, she embarks on the second part of her training journey – fieldwork. Applying and practicing lessons learned for the benefit of the community among which she lives.
