The programme (Farmer First) has benefited members of farmer field school groups. Food security and incomes have improved. Improved diet, as members have adequate food, a variety of foodstuffs and money to buy others. Members are sending their children to private schools, where teachers are motivated, hence better chance of getting quality education. Some have acquired physical assets like oxen, motor cycles, bicycles and land to increase production. However the lazy members who eat the seed instead of planting it have not benefited. Otherwise, majority has benefited.Political and technical leaders of Bata Sub-County, Dokolo District Local Government, during an interview with an independent consultant, on 11th March 2014.
