Please join me in thanking Mrs. Rose Aceng Okello, our Former Finance and Administration Officer, who has agreed to briefly come out of her retirement, in order to assist me to induct our new Volunteer Part-Time Paid Administrative Assistant, Ms. Ann Parlaker Gumkit.
During next week, Monday, 1st June to Friday, 5th June 2020, in the stead of the CPAR Uganda Managing Director, my stead, Rose will spend time at our offices at our Lira Learning Centre, talking and walking Anne through the duties of an Administrator, in the context of CPAR Uganda.
You will recall that Ann is among the young adults who are under mentorship under CPAR Uganda’s programme: “Mentoring Young Adults into Innovators.” I am confident that the time that Ann will spend with Rose will enhance her mentorship experience with us and it will enable Ann to more effectively execute her duties with CPAR Uganda.
Since her retirement from being an employee of CPAR Uganda, where she had worked nearly all of her employment life, Rose is now a business woman. Rose testifies that she utilises some of her learning from CPAR Uganda to run her business successfully.
I am forever grateful to Rose for her loyalty to CPAR Uganda and for continuously giving back to the communities that we serve.
I thank Rose for appreciating my predicament, during this Coronavirus COVID-19 induced lock down in Uganda, and for accepting my request to her to step in; since, I am unable to travel to Lira right away.
Thank You Rose!
