I am very pleased to announce that Ms. Ann Parlaker Gumkit will be joining us as our Volunteer Part-Time Paid Administrative Assistant on 1st June 2020. 1st June is the official start of her contract, but Ann is already on the ground at our Lira Offices, that are located at our Lira Learning Centre, where she will be based.
Ann will work with me, Managing Director, to ensure the smooth functioning of our learning centres in Lira, Oyam, Pader and Gulu; and she will assist in maintaining CPAR Uganda’s public relations with district local government authorities and other civil society organisations in our geographies of operation.
Ann is a weekend student at Lira University where she is doing her studies for the award of a Bachelor in Public Administration and Management degree. She is among the first cohort of young adults that are being mentored by CPAR Uganda to become innovators against poverty; and she was the valedictorian of their first model, “Understanding Poverty in Rural Uganda.” Click here and read more on Ann and why she is among our first cohort.
For all the relevant support that you will give Ann, in order to facilitate the effective execution of her duties, I thank you. Importantly, also, join me in welcoming Ann to our team.

Ms. Norah Owaraga, Managing Director
