Our Innovators, you adults whom we are mentoring under our project: “MENTORING YOUNG ADULTS INTO INNOVATORS AGAINST POVERTY”, are busy innovating and transforming our Lira Centre into a vibrant learning centre that may actually become self-sustaining in the longer-term.

Enon’s FOODS IN LAWNS PROJECT is one such excellent project that our innovators have come up with; and that is low on initial cash investment, but with huge multiple benefits.

You will recall, that in May 2020, bad people took advantage of the COVID-19 lock down and the curfew, broke into our Lira Learning Centre, significantly vandalized it and stole some items. We think that if our innovators had not been vigilant, checking in on their projects, the bad people would have done worse and stolen even more.

Our young innovators quickly alerted us and we got the police involved. For a short while, the police helped us and provided us with security as we re-grouped. And yes, our police case file is open and under investigation. Mercifully, since then, there has not been another incident.

Kudos to our innovators for ‘LIVING POSITIVELY WITH COVID-19’, that is to say, not allowing it to break them.
